Hi friends! I'm so excited to share with you my news....
I'm making a music video!!!
This past December I received a grant from the Waterloo Arts Fund to make a video to the song Fourteen Days. The song is off of my upcoming EP, Heart and is inspired by the novel, A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L'Engle.
I love how L'Engle wrote about a group of kids, a group of oddballs who overcame such great adversity. It's a great parallel of how God uses the meek and small to accomplish incredible things and is something that encourages me in my own life. This line from Fourteen Days sings of that hope:
"Got to live, got to be, using foolish ones like me.
Shame the proud, shame the wise.
Love comes down."
I am extremely grateful and feel like the luckiest girl ever to have this chance. I'm working with the immensely talented Erik O'Neill of Hey Cadet Films. I love working with him because he just gets it. I feel like he took a piece of my brain and attached it to his own because his vision for this project is right on par.
I'll give you some sneaky details about what you can expect: confetti, dancing and a trampoline...!!!
This is going to be a very beautiful video and I'm so excited to take you all on this journey with me. We start shooting March 6th! So soon now!
Thanks for reading this and all your support! Hope to see you soon at one of our shows :)
Lots of love,
